Each story required a completely different visual approach — from character design and expressions to movement, atmosphere, and pacing — while still maintaining a shared emotional tone throughout the book. The stories move between humor, darkness, and vulnerability, which naturally pushed the illustrations toward a more cinematic and comic-inspired language rather than traditional book illustration. Despite the stylistic variety, the full series was developed to feel cohesive, almost like a collection of still frames from an animated film or graphic novel. This became my most extensive illustration project so far, both in scale and in the range of visual problems each story demanded. The piece is a visual interpretation of verses from the traditional song Ašik osta na te oči (also known as Oj kaduno), based on a text by Osman Đikić. One of the earliest recorded versions, performed by&nbsp;Edo Ljubić&nbsp;in 1940, includes these lines. In many contemporary interpretations, these verses have been altered or omitted, softening the song’s darker tone and diminishing the striking emotional imagery present in the original. In Ljubić’s rendition, these lines stand as a kind of culmination. The festival brought together the inaugural Nikšić Illustration and Animation Salon, screenings of contemporary European short animated films, alongside lectures, workshops, and a book promotion by Rastko Ćirić. Special guest was animator Miloš Rajković SHOLIM. The visual identity was developed in collaboration with Denis Ćupić, who defined the typographic direction of the poster, while I led the overall visual concept and execution. Following its release and the strong response it received, the work evolved into a collaborative project initiated by Aleksandra Mihajlović Shtroxy. Together, we produced a series of screen-printed T-shirts, printed in Novi Sad and distributed from Belgrade. The shirts reached people across Serbia, the region, and abroad. Proceeds from the first round were donated directly to students, while the second round helped provide mattresses. I’m deeply grateful to Aleksandra for her initiative, dedication, and the photographs featured here, as well as to everyone who supported the project. The project was supported by the Alan Turing Institute, where Matija undertook an enrichment scheme. At the core of this game is research on human attribution of responsibility and the types of information people seek when making judgments about the accountability of artificial intelligence. "The Blame Game" is an interactive online experiment. It takes the form of a visual novel set in a world where players assume the role of a judge. Each scenario includes AI and human "suspects" and "witnesses," and it is up to the player to investigate sources, assess and determine the degree of guilt, and observe how each decision further shapes the story. I am grateful to Matija and Darko for the opportunity to collaborate: the illustrations were a true challenge, and it felt as if we were working on comic book panels or animation frames, even though they essentially served as backgrounds for a set of questions guiding the player through each "case."
